
The Star Community Cinema and Dahlia & Arts Festival are pleased to present the inaugural Rural
and Regional Expression (RARE) Film Festival in partnership with the Bendigo Amateur Movie Makers
(BAMM). Amateur filmmakers were invited to submit short films depicting life in Central Victoria.
SATURDAY MARCH 27
1.45 – 5pm, entry by gold coin donation: RARE Short-film Festival. Screening of nine short films curated by BAMM.
Wine and regional produce tasting during interval.
6 – 10pm, tix $40: RARE feature film. Dinner provided. Guest speakers, premiere of Jamie Roberts' short film From the Land of Pasties and Cream & screening of Romulus, My Father. BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL
SUNDAY MARCH 28
10am – 1pm: scriptwriting and filmmaking workshops and lunch. BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL
1 – 3pm: RARE Youth Film Festival. Screening of 12 short films depicting life in Eaglehawk over the Dahlia and Arts Festival, curated by
local filmmaker Iain Stewart. Afternoon tea included.
