- Some special events and Thursday night fundraiser screening prices  may vary. See individual sessions for ticket price details.
 
- Certain film screenings may be subject to a “no free tickets” (NFT) restriction. Star Cinema will not accept Film Passes or Gift Vouchers for these film screenings.

Online Booking Information

Booking online is easy. Simply hover over the button corresponding to the session time you wish to book for.

Click on this button and follow the simple instructions to select your seats, make your payment and secure your booking. You can select multiple sessions in the one transaction. Your ticket(s) will be emailed to your account. This email will also act as a receipt.
 
From there you can print out your ticket(s) to bring to your film session or bring along the email on your smart phone. NB: If you can't or don't have your ticket, don't stress. We have a record of all online bookings at each session. Provide your name and details and, if possible, your reference number and we'll find your booking.

IMPORTANT: once your payment process is confirmed, you MUST click the button on the top RHS that says FINALISE TRANSACTION. This will take you back to our booking website and provide you with a booking reference code. If this step is not completed, your booking will not be finalised and we will have no record of it. The funds held for your booking will be released back into your account. 

Please pay attention to the following important information:

CONCESSION: if you purchase a concession ticket you must present a valid concession / senior card at the cinema, along with your ticket.
MEMBER: if you purchase a Member ticket you must present a valid Star Cinema membership card at the cinema, along with your ticket.
FILM PASS / GIFT VOUCHER: if you book a Film Pass or Gift Voucher ticket must present your valid Film Pass or or Gift Voucher at the cinema, along with your ticket.
** If the relevant card is not presented, you will be asked to pay the difference at the ticket booth.
 
ACCESSIBILTY: balcony seats are accessible via stairs only.

Online Booking FAQs

Why has Star Cinema introduced online booking?
A. To bring us into line with all other cinemas in Australia.
B. To cater to the increased patronage we have seen in recent times.
C. To reduce the number of no-shows (leaving empty couches).
D. Because a large number of our patrons have requested this service.
 
Why is there a booking fee?
The $1 booking fee covers the cost of providing the service.
FYI: the booking fee at Bendigo Cinemas is $1.50 for standard sessions and $3.25 for gold class.
 
Can I select my seats when I book online?
Yes.
 
I don’t have access to the internet – what about me?
You can just turn up to any session without a booking or book in person at the Star Cinema office during office hours (11-5 Mon-Fri) – pre-payment required.
 
Can I still book by phone?
For a short time (TBC) we will continue to take bookings over the phone on 03 5446 2025 – Monday to Friday 11am-3pm– pre-payment required.
 
Can I book multiple sessions at once?
Yes.
 
Can I get a refund if I am unable to attend a session I have booked and paid for?
No. Refunds will only be provided if Star Cinema is unable to run a screening due to technical issues, power outages or lockdowns.
 
Can I just turn up without a booking?
Yes. However, you may not get your preferred seat.
 
Online bookings close 90 minutes before the advertised screening time – if I miss the cut-off, what do I do?
Just turn up, we’ll find you a seat.
 
Can I redeem a pass or a voucher when booking online?
Yes. You must also present your valid pass or voucher when you arrive at the cinema.
 
If I book a concession ticket online do I have to present a valid concession or seniors card at the cinema?
Yes, if you are unable to do so, you will be charged the difference.
 
How do I bring my ticket?
Your ticket will be emailed to you and will be scanned at the cinema. You may print your ticket or present it on your smart phone.
